Not only does the plant same 50 million gallons of water over 10 years, using power from a local hydroelectric dam combined with insulation of its walls, the plant will save 720,000 kilowatts on power per year. The 2012 Passat was also a finalist for the 2012 Green Car of the Year Award.

Introducing: The Fabulous 2012 Volkswagen Passat TDI®

Ready, set, go, and go and go! Strong Volkswagen will be rolling out the much acclaimed 2012 Passat TDI ®later this month with its remarkable 43 highway mpg. The in-town 31 mpg gives it a combined EPA rating of 35 mpg, putting the Passat well ahead of its competition. For a mid-sized sedan, this clean diesel vehicle’s mileage, performance, and design can’t be beat. And the thing that really sets the Passat TDI® apart is its drivability; it is simply a pleasure to get behind the wheel!





With VW’s fabulous 2.0 liter, turbodiesel four-cylinder diesel engine, the Passat TDI® also boasts a six-speed manual or a six speed dual-clutch transmission, 17-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats and a touchscreen radio.
