The 22nd Annual
Parowan, Utah Car Show was held on June 2, 2012 on Main Street. Over 50 vintage
cars were featured including a stunning red 1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia.
Built in Germany from 1955 – 1974, less than
500,000 Karmann Ghias were produced including
the 2 door coupe and the 2-door convertible body styles. The Type 14 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia like this one was
listed as one of the world’s most beautifully designed products by American designer Walter Dorwin Teague. Of course, Strong Volkswagen carried Karmann Ghias back in the day.
The restored convertible
Karmann Ghia featured in these pictures is owned by Debbie J of Parowan who approved the printing of these photos. She bought it 5 years ago and proceeded to restore the Karmann Ghia to its current mint
condition.
The car has been entered in three car shows since its restoration and won best in its class at a Moapa, NV car show. The gorgeous red car also won First Place in Special Interest Cars in the Parowan Car Show featured in this blog.
Have you ever owned or
dreamed of owning a VW Karmann Ghia?
